Coplan is greeted and gassed by Madame Gottwald (Coplan 'Banc D'Essai, 1980, pp.79-81)

In this scene Coplan, the hero of the 1970/80s comic book series, enters the baddies mansion and is ushered into a large reception area by Madame Gottwald who soon shows her cards by gassing him unconscious, tying him to a chair and waiting for him to come round. By this time she has changed into a cocktail dress and a short verbal exchange between them reveals that she is out to party and he, of course, just wants to escape. You hardly have to translate from the French to follow the action - he is tied up and she wants to take advantage of being alone with him and, as she admits, have fun. She asks how he fares up to torture, is impressed with his response and unharnesses herself. The next question is ‘how do you find me?’ as she leans down to kiss him, she then pulls away with her orbs in his face and asks ‘are you desperate now?’ At which point he asks to kiss her and when she leans down again to do so she receives . . . a stunning head butt! What a guy! He escapes, as can be seen, and eventually turns the tables on the baddies as expected…
