Description19”x29” (frame 29”x39”) Painted in 1979, I bought it in 2000. Short story, One day I walked into the Pendragon Gallery in Annapolis, MD, and saw Boris’ Golden Wings painting. From there I was hooked. I bought all kinds of prints, but then in 1985 he had a show at the Gallery and many of the paintings from Mirage were there. This is the one that I said then if I could, I would own someday. At the time, I could only afford the artist proof for the book - $175 - that I still own. Flash forward to 1994 and I'm in San Diego and go to ComicCon for the first time. Was wandering around when I caught a glimpse of the painting behind a dealer's table. It took a number of years and keeping in touch before I was able to buy the painting. First published in the book, Mirage, by Del Rey, 1982. The softcover I bought at Pendragon is signed and dated by Boris and Doris that day we first met on the page where the painting is illustrated.Social/Sharing |

Gorgeous! And love the story. My favorite Boris painting ever was done for Mirage. You're giving me hope that I may one day find and acquire it myself!

One of the most erotic paintings by Boris I've ever seen! And definitely the most allusive 😏
