Description
I really, really, love this one. But I had such a hard time bidding on it. Although not for any of the reasons you might imagine. It wasn’t a money issue. And there were no technical difficulties with my computer or internet connection. The problem was that, when I saw it, I just could not stop laughing for about 5 minutes. I really had to wait and calm down first because I was afraid of accidentally typing an extra zero in my bid amount. So it took me a little while until I could see straight and hit the right keys. LOL

Anyway, not much of a story for this one. As you can see, it’s a typically brilliant and hilarious Hembeck example. And one of the absolute best Rhino pieces I have ever seen, bar none. If I were to have a Rhino costumer made for myself, I would want it to look exactly like this one! LOL! Obviously, it’s not HA Platinum Session material. But while some may easily dismiss this as cheap eye candy, just remember that the value of art is not in how much you can sell it for. The true value is in how much joy it gives. Because that value is limitless, and can be enjoyed by anyone, whether they own the piece or not. Regardless, I hope this puts as big a smile on your face as it did mine.

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

Actually, with those weird looking hands and feet, I was thinking he looks more like some sort of psychotic, horned, manatee.  LOL

Hahahahah, I'm laughing right now as I write this.  So funny!! Hembeck brings so much joy and whimsy to this hobby.  We are lucky to have him.  Look!  Even the Rhino gets the trademark swirly knees!  And is that a bruise on his Rhino hide?  No wonder he looks pissed.  Glad you could score this gem.

Wart?  Pimple? Barnacle?  Who knows WHAT that thing is?  Could be a third nipple for all we know.  Heck, maybe Rhino has an STD.  Ha!  Will have to ask Fred to solve the mystery some day.  Thanks for the comment bro.  Happy new year!

Nothing wrong with cheap eye candy. You would laugh at how much I spent on my favorite piece of artwork. Give you a clue. You would not get a centimetre  of an Arthur Adams for it. Art that makes you happy is the art to get.
