DescriptionWhen I was a kid I was ecstatic when I found copies of Eternals on a family trip. I remember reading them on the way home, then putting them in our storage room away from my other comics when we got back. Months later I gave them to a friend when he stopped by.Why? Because Kirby’s depiction of Sersi freaked Kid Me out. On the Scale of Scary when it came to Kirby creations, Sersi was more horrifying to me as a child than any monster he ever drew. Don’t ask me why. Conversely, I loved how Paul Ryan depicted Sersi. In fact, my two favorite pages of his both featured her prominently. I managed to miss out on both pages when they’ve popped up for sale over the years, being sold shortly before I knew they were available. Dula Luck kept going the same way whenever a nice page with Sersi showed up. So when this page showed up with nice, if minor, depictions of Sersi I went all-out on bidding. Note both Bob Wiacek and Keith Williams were listed as the inkers for this issue. I don’t know if they inked pages together, as I know some artists at DC have when credited in unison, or if they split page duties. If someone can enlighten me I’ll update this page’s description as necessary. Social/Sharing |

Sweet crossover issue! It has that early 90's overpowering fight imagery and the nice walls of sound effects.
