A Stunning ALL Original Peter Max, (no litho), with an additional original signed Peter Max sketch on the reverse of the frame. Rendered in “vibrant” colors, using acrylic and ink on canvas, Max drew a stunning pop art piece depicting a woman in profile called “Portrait of Rosie”. Signed “MAX” upper right of the artwork. The piece is presented floated and glazed in the original lightly nicked black toned frame. An additional ink drawing by the artist is on the reverse of the frame depicting a boat on the ocean in a sea of “LOVE”. The verso sketch is signed by Peter Max “Love / MAX”, lower right of the sketch. A Fantastic Striking All-Original piece.
PROVENANCE:
The art was purchased from an Auction House who was commissioned to sell numerous original illustrations by Peter Max. A copy of the original bill of sale, lot number and the description will be included with the piece, and will provide both provenance and authenticity for the art. The frame also still maintains the original Gallery stamp on the verso of the frame in addition to the second signed original sketch by Peter Max adding further authenticity.
Note this is NOT a limited edition, this is NOT a lithograph, NOR is this the common Peter Max mixed media one usually sees (which is partially a litho with added embellishements), instead this is 100% a one-of-a-kind original piece by Peter Max
