Art is by Dick Tracy creator Chester Gould (1900-1985) and was for Aug. 26, 1956 Sunday page. Art shows Dick Tracy and Sam Ketcham searching ruined theater for Flattop, who traps Tracy on the roof by lighting building on fire. Tracy appears in seven panels, Sam in six. Flattop appears in three panels, along w/Skinny's ghost. Last panel has Gould's signature. First panel features "Crimestoppers Textbook" tip regarding detecting clues in criminals' pockets. Third to last panel has Chicago Tribune copyright strip. Large date written in black marker at top left of trimmed top margin as well as in fourth panel. Artboard individual panels are attached to has vertical crease at center and title stat has 1" piece missing w/ink touch-up and scattered aging. Some scattered aging/dust soiling and panel lifting, but o/w art remains clean and VF/Exc.
