10x14.25" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Werewolf by Night Vol. 2 #9, which reprints Werewolf by Knight story from issue #33 (second appearance of Moon Knight). Published in Spain c. 1975 Mundi. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/white title bar at top of art and showing a similar composition that was based on art from the US issue cover #33 by Gil Kane. Moon Knight has been rendered in red and yellow instead of his traditional white costume. Lt. aging/handling wear. Art remains bright and clean. Displays VF. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish comic books, featuring one of Marvel's popular characters and is unsigned by artist. Superb and dynamic cover art. Does not include scarce comic as other Espí art does in this auction.
