DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!10x14.25" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Ms. Marvel Vol. 1 #8, which reprints two Ms. Marvel stories from issue #15-16. Published in Spain c. 1977 Mundi. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/art showing a similar composition that was based on art from the US issue cover #16 by Dave Cockrum. Great underwater battle scene against Tiger Shark. Lt. aging/handling wear. Art remains bright and clean. Displays VF. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish comic books, featuring one of Marvel's popular characters and is unsigned by artist. Superb and dynamic cover art. Comes w/reading copy of the Spanish comic this cover art was created for. Social/Sharing |
