DescriptionSo far this week I have posted three pages from ASM vol 6 #17 that all focused on the new Bizarro Spidey character called REK-RAP, including his origin pages and his 1st full appearance splash. There will be more Rek-Rap on my CAF in the coming days, don't you worry. In this same issue, we also got introduced to a new supervillain team called the INSIDIOUS SIX, which consists of a bunch of demons from Limbo who were amped up and morphed to become a warped version of the Sinister Six, as part of Chasm's plan to make Spidey's time in Limbo just that much more annoying. The members of the insidious Six, seen here on this splashy page as they confront Spidey and JJJ in the sewer (calling Spidey "Crawlwaller" because Limbo demons are HORRIBLE at names) are Doctor Octoball, The Grave Goblin, Rhiceratops, Kraken The Hunter, Lizzaro and the Gorepion. Tonight I am also posting the page following this one in the issue, where Spidey BATTLES the Insidious Six. Wah-HOOOOOO!! (Can you tell that I am excited? Just love this issue) Social/Sharing |

I haven't really been feeling good about the new ASM series, but the last couple of issues beginning from Dark Web until now have been really enjoyable! I think the art has a lot to do with it, while JRJR is fantastic, McGuinness's (and Dodson on the most recent issues) style has a way of making everything look sort of animated and fun. Plus who can resist smiling when they see Rek Rap or the Insidious Six lol

Thank you for a really great comment! I agree with you 100% about the enjoyment factor of Dark Web and how Ed's art is perfect for these more silly new characters Rek-Rap and the Insidious Six. They sure bring a smile to my face!

When I see all these pages, it almost feels like after reading the script to this issue, the editor should've gotten the idea to just launch an all ages friendly Spidey title that anyone can read and enjoy, whether boys, girls, men, women or aliens. Understandably, they may not have had ideas for stories beyond an issue or two, but it sure would be good to hear that there's a FUN Spidey title out there that anyone can read and enjoy!

Pretty nice Band on the Run! When the chips are down, JJJ is going to ask Spidey to save him as always. Only to write how he's responsible for putting everyone in danger in the Bugle in the next day's morning edition. Insidiously fun designs as seen by some Ditko styled Spidey eyes!

These pages you've been posting may just be the best Spidey pages that I've seen produced in years (I love it when comics are wacky good fun).
