BLOODSHOT REBORN #8 COVER

This gothic image of Bloodshot sitting atop a pile of skulls was published as the cover to Bloodshot Returns #8 (2015), the revival of the super soldier character who was initially a best seller for Valiant Comics during their initial boom period in the early 1990s.

About Bloodshot
Bloodshot was the creation of artist Don Perlin and writer Kevin VanHook and was a huge success for upstart publisher Valiant in 1993 with the first issue selling an impressive one million copies. The title would run for a very respectable 52 issues, a long run for pretty much any comic spawned in the 1990s and one of the longest runs for the publisher. The character has been a leading part of the recent Valiant relaunch that began in 2015 and he is about to get a huge boost in public visibility with a Sony Pictures Bloodshot film starring Vin Diesel opening March 13, 2020.
