Description

This gothic image of Bloodshot sitting atop a pile of skulls was published as the cover to Bloodshot Returns #8 (2015), the revival of the super soldier character who was initially a best seller for Valiant Comics during their initial boom period in the early 1990s.

About Bloodshot
Bloodshot was the creation of artist Don Perlin and writer Kevin VanHook and was a huge success for upstart publisher Valiant in 1993 with the first issue selling an impressive one million copies. The title would run for a very respectable 52 issues, a long run for pretty much any comic spawned in the 1990s and one of the longest runs for the publisher. The character has been a leading part of the recent Valiant relaunch that began in 2015 and he is about to get a huge boost in public visibility with a Sony Pictures Bloodshot film starring Vin Diesel opening March 13, 2020. About the Artist

Stephen Jorge Segovia is best known for his work for Marvel on such characters as Thor, Silver Surfer and Wolverine.
