Description

My mother is Dutch. The majority of her family lives in The Netherlands, and I have visited my family there a number of times (though not so recently...I get to return in October 2023, so YAY!). I ran across Hermien Vos, a Dutch artist and writer, on Instagram and signed up for her wonderful newsletter in which she chooses three words per letter, and discusses how those words connect to her life experience. It is creative and insightful, and I enjoy hearing how other people navigate their lives. She also has lovely artwork on her Insta (@hermienvos), which most often features animals and birds...art after my own heart, it is! She had a drawing of her newsletter subscribers and I won this adorable Robin. She wrote a sweet letter on the back of it. The piece measures 5 7/8" x 4 1/8" and is colored pencil and graphite on bristol.
