Description

5.5x9. Pen and ink, marker and colored pencil. Morpheus' successor is depicted wearing the emerald Dreamstone. The Emerald was created ages ago for the great birds as an "Eagle Stone", eventually it was returned to its creator. When the Furies went after Dream, he gave the Emerald to Daniel Hall, his heir, so the stone could become his tool as the new Dream of the Endless. Zulli illustrated seven issues of Neil Gaiman's epic Sandman series. His first issue was #13 in 1990 and his last #72 in 1996. His unique artistic style left a lasting imprint on the greatest Vertigo comic of all-time. Signed and dated 1996, tying this to his final work on the series.
