Okay, this is going to sound silly, but in all honesty, every time I read Chameleon Boy's name, it always sounded like an insult! The thing is, there are other Legionnaires with code names that end in "Boy", but for some strange reason, only Chameleon Boy ever sounded like an insult. Maybe it's because of having read so much X-Men and the persecution for being mutants. So it's like this guy's power is to shape shift and since that's so weird to the average human in comic books, it sounds like something they'd shout at him if they saw him using that power in public. "Go be with your own kind, chameleon boy!". 😅
