DescriptionThis gorgeous Splash was signed for me by Joe Giella last year, a wonderful person and Silver Age legend we will miss dearly. Many years ago the page was signed by Carmine Infantino, Adam West, Burt Ward and editor Julie Schwartz! Julie signed it for the then owner Tom Fagan, who was also a legend. He was a writer and organized the Rutland Halloween Parade, which also became a setting in Comic book history and Tom Fagan even became a Comicbook character interacting with Marvel and DC characters. If you don't know the very interesting story behind it, be sure to check out this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rutland_Halloween_Parade The storyline was written by Gardner Fox, who broke the fourth wall at the end of the storyline with letting the reader share his thoughts on the writing process. In the end, the multiverse theory plays an important role, an idea also introduced by Gardner Fox in 1961's The Flash #123 which was the origin of the multiverse. I am infinitely grateful that I could add this magical piece of Silver Age history to my Collection. Many thanks to Frank Giella, Andy Wurst and Bechara Maalouf, this piece means a lot to me. The Infantino Batman at in the 60's had spectacular covers and great interiors. This is a great splash. All of the signatures push this into stratosphere of must have. Congrats.

I've always enjoyed the stories behind the art, such a gem!! Thanks for sharing. I also like all the signatures, especially since they are not on the art.

Holy hole in the Doughnut (Marc, You've Done It Again!).
Honestly, I have never met anyone more serious and especially focused about curating the perfect Batman collection than you.
Fantastic title splash by a group of legendary comic artists.
Huge congrats!

This page is amazing, I saw it in person at the exhibition. It is, in my opinion, in the top ten holy grails in Batman collecting.

Stunning 1966 page one splash by Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella! Love this powerful image of Batman falling from a bullet, the gun that shot him still smoking as if falls to the ground, the assailant seemingly a ghost that is flying through the sky above him. Beautifully laid out splash, with gorgeous inks. It's just a great find from the Silver Age! Congrats!
