I guess I’m just another one of those guys that loves Swamp Thing, specifically I love the Wein/Wrightson fun monster comic version of the character. When I had the chance to get a commission from the great Kelley Jones it was a no brainer to ask for Swampy since it was one of Kelley’s favorite characters too and he did an incredible job of depicting the character in a miniseries with Len. Kelley makes the character his own by filtering both the Wrightson and Bissette/Totleben versions through the lens of his own unique style to make one of my favorite renditions. Thanks so much Kelley for a great experience and a beautiful piece!

Love the character design, and that moon in the background! Gives it an otherworldly feel. This is Swampy shining very bright in the darkest of night!

So good! Hints of Wrightson in the sky, musculature, and strong lighting, but only Jones could have conceived of this image
