Description

As a fan of Joe's "Silver Age-y" style, I asked specifically for the first appearance Barbara Gordon from DETECTIVE COMICS #359. In just a bust drawing, he managed to capture not only the look but the wide-eyed teenage innocence of those early adventures.

It really does look like a million dollar debut of Batgirl in this piece! The hair and the shiny reflections on the black parts of her costume are nice and slick.
