Stefano Andreucci, Zagor Fights the Minions of Dagon

I’m new to knowing who Zagor is. I saw pages from this story on sale on eBay and became intrigued. Zagor has been around since the ‘60s and is very popular in Europe. He’s just recently made his American debut, which included a crossover with the Flash. The character is a white man who is favored by the American Indian god-spirit Manitou. He has excellent fighting skills, but no superpowers. He and his Mexican sidekick Chico went on many adventures set in the early 19th century, crossing genres as casually as they did the American frontier.

The comic has been translated into many languages and appeared in many “albums,” or collections, in various countries. The original Italian edition was known as Collana (“Collection”) Zenith, before changing its name to Zagor with issue 52. The Italian version of the Zagor comic is thus identified both with its own story number, and the Zenith issue number.

This page has Zagor laying down cover fire as Chico escapes from the transformed members of the cult of Dagon. It had the feel of a 1970s Marvel comic to me, as well as cool action, nasty critters, and a really cool perspective in the last panel.
