I asked if you had a special upload for 4/20, you lied :(
I did put in the chat later on that I would, after I found this piece.
Afroman playing in the background....
This is a triple win. Great 420 piece, great Wagner piece, and of course you can't go wrong with Jay and Silent Bob. This would make a great T-shirt.
Smokin' piece!!
smoke up
"Rollin' fatties, smokin' blunts.
Who smokes the blunts? We smoke the blunts.
Rollin' blunts and smokin' em"
"My jungle looooove....oh we oh we oh!"
Classic piece here, brother! Congrats!
happy 420 day. it's Friday. you ain't got no job and you have shit to do.
Pretty great depiction!
Lol, your description was good, man, right from "my true love was kush" - you gotta sing it like the talented Platters :) Fun piece, too - really like seeing colors against a darker textured board. Easier said than done to pull off, "nooch". Congrats, man!
Always enjoyed Wagner sketches on color paper. This one is no exception.. Too bad it's not Grendel..Snoochie Boochies!
Snoochie Boochies Marcus.
it was the year of our father 1900 and 76 in JA
when i first met my mary quite contrary to what Matt Wagner did say
she was a mountain girl come to bay area town
i was only there for a while
but when i think back on all the love we shared
i just cant quite help to smile
we spent one whole long year together
and at the end i had to go
by my Marcuses side i wept and cried i'd never been layed so low
she said, Jay when you first met me
you were as green as a mango tree ooohh
but now you are a man go back to your land
but first listen carefully,
and Silent Bob can smoke two pounds of cali herb by himself
then try to stand on his head
no matter how high he gets
he'll never forget the wonders of mary's bed
Wagner's Hunter Rose aka Grendel. Mage. The Shadow. And... Jay & Silent Bob.
The other dynamic duo now in comic form. Fun find!
YOU ARE THE ONES WHO ARE THE BALL LICKERS!!!!
Snikty Snikty Snoin!!!!!!
Snoochie Boochies
That is a fun and sharp drawing in an unforgiving medium! Must not have been under the influence when he put pencil to paper
Thanks for the story Grampa Sim... Wai! Not enough onions on belts now-a-days!
Fun Wagner Drawing, Great Song, Amazing Story! I hope you never stop!
love it Marcus!! great background info/story on the piece - i still need to catch Clerks 3!!!
"A Jay and Silent Bob movie? Who would pay to see that?"
Congrats ;)
Snoochie boochies, Jay and Silent Bob are the best! And this is a fantastic illustration! I love the song you chose for one of your famous alternate lyrics parodies. I'm gonna learn that one on the piano next.
Jay, Silent Bob, AND Annoying Customer the cat. Awesome!
They didn't have white onions because of the war.
Yeah!! Really cool!!
Great combination of talent and topic!
Oh, too, TOO cool. Love the colored pencil on the textured paper! I love how Matt uses this piece to reveal to us that deep down, Jay and Bob are really supporters of the Boy Scouts (that's why there's the fleur-de-lis behind them, right?)... More gangsta than manga! More bongo than gangsta! More ganja than bongo! Awesome, perfectly-timed post, Marcus!
Mighty Matt Wagner! Nice!
Cool piece I'm also big fans of Jay & Silent Bob! My social media profile right now is a pic with Kevin Smith from a recent comic book store appearance. Funny how the mascots for smokin weed no longer smoke themselves! Hopefully they keep doing more Jay & Silent Bob!!
Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
What a great piece by Matt! Congrats!
