DescriptionThis is the May. Day 17. Thirty-One days of Star Wars continues...Zodoh the Hutt’s Stormdriver ships have unleashed a global flood on Aquilaris Minor. Large areas of the planet are flooded within hours. In this issue’s opening four page sequence (which I’ll be posting in order Mon-Thurs this week), Jedi Knight Kerra Holt leads a desperate evacuation effort. Using her abilities in the Force and her Fire Lotus-class starfighter Kerra transports several civilians to higher ground. These are the original blue pencils (not digital blue lines) by Iban Coello. I believe there are corresponding boards out there for inker Sergio Abad. Social/Sharing |

Man, the art in those two bottom panels is exceptional! I especially love the second to last panel, if only because it shows something most parents have done at one time or another, letting their kids "drive". So animated!

Yep, this four page sequence of attempting to save folks from a flood and these little moments is very relatable to even us Earthbound humans. Some good story telling at work.
