Creepy cool stuff, man! Always liked Medusa since the original Clash of the Titans. And love how artists can take some liberties withe their renditions, like here! Sexy no doubt...but yeah...best stay back :) Killer paints throughout, including that background. Congrats, Steve!

Word, man... among the fantasy OG TSR artists were Elmore, Easley, Caldwell, and Parkinson. Then came Fields and Brom!

Very cool, after my peak gaming period but can still certainly appreciate the art, themes and how nostalgic it must be for you. Congratulations.

Spectacular painting for an absolutely eye-catching cover! It's interesting to see that, in modern times, Medusa is often depicted as a monster half-woman and half-snake, which in classic Greek mythology was actually a different figure, named Echidna.

Fascinating! And it seems Echidna's own depictions sometimes are with and oftentimes without snakes as hair.

I think Golobulus needs to ask this version of Medusa out on a date.

I stand by my claim that this is Lynda Carter. Wonder Woman never looked so freaky!

I thought the same thing about looking like Lynda Carter. I'm thinking Circe placed a spell on the Amazon Princess!

BEAUTIFUL use of color here (I love the sea and sky, but especially that purple horizon!) to convey both tropical paradise and mortal peril; I find the flesh-colored (and non-scaled) snake half here SO creepy. Seriously - brrrr.... The curl of her tail tells you she's having the time of her life. Another outstanding fantasy add, Steve! Great pick up! Congrats!

As the previous caretaker of this piece before handing it off to Mike in a trade, Fred himself stated how the model for this painting of Medusa was his wife. Just a fun fact I thought you might like to know. Congrats on picking up this beautiful painting.
