The Spider: Harbor Of Nameless Dead (recreation)

Rafael DeSoto (born Puerto Rico 1904, died Long Island NY 1992) did the majority of the painted covers for the 118 issues of The Spider pulp novels magazine, as well as so much other work for pulps, magazines, and even comics.
Here is a recreation (appx 20 X 28") he did in the early-mid 1980s, before his failing eyesight affected his later work, of his cover forThe Spider's January 1941 issue (#88) with the novel "Harbor Of Nameless Dead".
It's got all the lurid attractions of the best of the hero/menace pulps!
