DescriptionDidn't think I'd ever be able to say I won a Heritage Signature Auction, but here we are.A untold story from the aftermath of Zero Hour that explains how Metropolis got "back on its feet" after the devastating events of Action Comics #700. The typed narration boxes are written by the 'heart and soul' of the city, Daily Planet Chief Editor 'Don't Call Him Chief' 'Great Caesar's Ghost' 'Great Shades of Elvis' Perry White! This DPS features Wonder Woman, long-haired Superman, Captain Marvel, Martian Manhunter, Impulse, Guy Gardner Warrior and my girl, Maxima! There's some commentary on how strange it is that Newstime building is the only one still left standing. Long time readers will remember that this is the building owned by Magazine publisher, Colin Thornton (who is in fact the demonic Lord Satanus!!!!!!)! Very happy to add this to the collection! Oh no, oh no
Here hero now, here hero now
Oh no, oh no
Here Zero now
Zero Hour feeling I don't understand
Gotta get HA page from here
Feelin' like I should've kept my feet off the ground
Waitin' yellow sun to appear
Bidders gonna worry
I've been a bad, bid boy
Stuart's drawing story
Art's something that I enjoy
'Cause it is she that my eyes see
(I can see it, I can see it)
And you can't beat my art need
Flying high again
I can see Immonens, catch me this art pair
Marzan even brush the skies
Superman ventures all around I hear
A Maxima crazy guy? You bet
Bidder's gonna worry
I've been a bid, bad boy
No use saying sorry
Bids' something that I enjoy
If you could see the pencil lead
You'd see that Max in fight is best
Flying high again
Flying high again
Flying high again
Flying high again
Come on and join me

Well, I still say this was an absolute bargain for what you get in return. Think about it, everything else being equal, which is to say the same penciller, inker and year/month of publication, but with the equivalent quality Marvel characters swapped in for these DC characters, and this would've been 3x to 4x more than it actually was! That's what I mean by this type of material being dirt cheap. The "value for the money" factor on DC art is still absolutely fantastic. Congrats on landing this, it's great!
