I can see the similarities with Gibbons' Martha Washington military art.
Gibbons is a national treasure!

Amen, brother!
From back in the day when Gibbons' work was absolutely packed with character detail - understandably, when you look at more recent work such as Kingsman/The Secret Service, there are lots of shortcuts, but these were great times to view Mr G in his prime!
As well as Martha, this has strong 2000A.D. vibes, where Gibbons cut his teeth illustrating Dan Dare, ABC Warriors and some of Alan Moore's best Future Shocks and Time Twisters tales. A national and international treasure indeed!
