Description

Bernie Wrightson Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus Signed Limited Edition Portfolio #932/1000 (Tyrannosaurus Press, 1977). Bernie Wrightson's masterpiece, a collection of illustrations for a new edition of Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's "Frankenstein", was in the works but would not be released for a few more years. Some of the early images were released in this limited portfolio and they set fans on fire for the final product! This portfolio has six plates, and they are stunning in their highly detailed stark black and white presentation. They are housed in the original 12.5" x 16' printed envelope that bears the numbering and Wrightson's signature on the lower image area. The envelope is toned and worn on the edges, has small nicks and tears, creasing, tape, and in Good condition. The plates are in Excellent condition.
