Conan color sketch by Dan Lawlis

Some people think of Arnold when they picture Conan. I don’t. I daresay that I don’t even exactly picture Big John Buscema’s version in my mind. I picture a Conan closer to Frazetta’s version (I think).

This is how I see him! I did this loose color sketch late last night in about an hour, after I finished my regular work.

It get’s me thinking, which artist comes closest to the way you see Conan in your mind’s eye when you read Howard’s work?
