A lovely color pen drawing of the heroine of Emil Ferris’ wonderful graphic novel My Favorite Thing is Monsters. I loved the book and was thrilled to get a color drawing to match up with the black and white piece I got
Several years ago. The book has my highest recommendation-up there with Maus, Blankets, Jimmy Corrigan and other great graphic novels that show the heights to which great cartoonists can aspire.

This has a wonderful effect when you look from up close or afar! The illustration is not only technically stellar, but tealls a story of the character by itself.
