***Using my best "Dos Equis The Most Interesting Man In The World" impression***...I don't often buy color guides...but when I do, it's on a published Peter Laird TMNT crossover cover from the 90s!!!

This is the published colored cover artwork for Creed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 (Cover B) with coloring by Jamie Hood (who also happens to be a friend, check him out on YouTube and Instagram at J Hood Creative.) Original cover pencils were by Peter Laird back in 1996. This issue/miniseries was published by Lightning Comics.

There is a transparent overlay over the color art that makes the overall look a little darker/bolder and addresses some minor changes to the trade dress. I think it makes the overall cover look edgier and of it's time, but it's def interesting to see it with a bit more lighting so I'll include an image of it WITHOUT the overlay in the additional images section.

Sadly I've yet to find a physical copy of this pretty much anywhere, nor have I been able to read it, but here's the summary of what this is below.

Story synopsis:

The Turtles cross over with Trent Kaniuga's popular character Creed, as they did with many indie comics characters in their pre-Nickelodeon heyday. Transported to the realm of the imagination by a dream stone, the Turtles must join forces with teen Mark Farley, aka Creed, to battle an alien adversary named Shrapnel and discover what's really going on.

Oh, shit! It's a good thing I read the description all the way to the end, because I was sitting here stunned, wondering why in the world someone thought that teaming up the TMNT with the band Creed would be a good idea! I don't know anything about the band, either their music or what they look like, so I thought the dude was the band's frontman! 🤣
