Description

Of all the characters imagined, including Howard the Duck, I don't think there was a more wacky one than Throg the frog of Thunder! I had seen images prior to Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers, but never read those stories. I don't know how good they are but if they are of the same level of enjoyment as this series, they have to be good and fun.

For other collection pieces, I have mentioned how the scan just does NOT do it justice. I cannot emphasize that enough here. Ig Guara created some amazing sequences with the softest and most delicate pencils. They are AMAZING. But what they are not... is easy to scan with the equipment I have available. I played for HOURS in Photoshop trying to get the detail to show up without mushing the images up. This and the additional image are the best I can do.

Early in the hobby, I realized I would have to make a decision on what type of comic art I would collect. I was a fan of all comics; DC, Marvel, Archie, Image, you name it. But I knew I wouldn't be able to collect it all in the way that I would like. So I picked DC. BUT...every once in a while, something like this Marvel Pet Avengers art pops up and I just can't resist. It is SUCH a unique concept drawn by an amazing artist. So once again, I have broken my rule to avoid collecting Marvel art. I JUST COULDN'T HELP MYSELF!
