Description

Saowee was the first artist I heard about who was repped by Next Comic Art, but her commission list was full by the time I reached out to Jiggy. Fortunately, he saved a spot for me on her commission list when it opened up again, and the wait worked out since Saowee definitely leveled up her illustration work during that time (there's a Psylocke pinup she drew that is simply amazing). I love how she went with a cute image of Gambit and Rogue together in a more casual pose- Gambit's looking chill/dapper, with Rogue just floating in midair on his shoulder. As superhero couples are wont to do. So very happy with how this turned out.

This Gambit is so charming - a little humbler than usual, with the hands stashed in the pockets. Also, this is the first time I've ever realized that they kind of have... matching jackets? Very cute. Great result.
