DescriptionCastle Waiting was an incredibly imaginative book. Like other books, it drew on existing Fairy Tales but moved them forward in fun and interesting way. Lady Jain was the central character through whom we were introduced to the other inhabitants of the Castle. This page is chock full of characters - Lady Jain, one of the nuns, Rackham, the three ladies in residence, and Simon. It's a great representation of the series and the pieces of fairy that Linda wove together.I had been familiar with Medley a tiny bit from some of her DC work. I had no idea she had a book like this up her sleeve. The page is drawn on 8.5 x 11 lined graph paper. Despite its small size, the art is incredibly detailed. I had originally bought a different page of Castle Waiting through a 2023 Heritage Auction (several of the comments are about that page). After I posted it, Rabid Ferret and I got to emailing. He had the page just before mine. Always wanting to reunite sequential pages, we worked out a trade. It was a great process and I'm glad pages 8 and 9 are back together again. Social/Sharing |

Really fun in the late 90's as they even had the Trilogy Tour. It plumbed the genre in the indie circuit before Fables.

I picked up a hardcover collection of this title at the local library around 15 years ago. I went in cold, having no idea what to expect, and I absolutely loved it. Congrats on picking up such a lovely page.

Great page-you were very gracious to reunite the other two pages. Thanks again for introducing me to this book.

It was a great trade. Rabid Ferrit went above and beyond and sent me a McDaniel Batman page and a copy of their illustrated book.
Definitely a wonderful example of the community spirit at CAF.
