DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!14.5x20" and 11.5x16.5" original art painted/multi-media cover concepts for MAD Magazine Issue #283 German Edition. April 1993. Art signed by "Mattz" and "Elga". Several artists vied for this cover, and while each here is signed and dated, both lost out to Gregor Mecklenburg who did published cover. Appears girl on cover changed and nudity was not used in final cover. Image of German Hip Hop group Die Fantastichen Vier w/Alfred E. Neuman as a member being pointed to by an unidentified woman (likely another performer). Great preliminary art in the flavor of the classic magazine. Lt. aging/handling wear. Some minor pencil smudge and rubber cement residue on one card that may cleanup. Art displays VF. Social/Sharing |
