Jason Vs. Leatherface #2 p.8

A sentimental favorite mini-series. It stands out, b/c for whatever reason I discovered #1 and #3 in the back issue bins for 99 cents a piece, but it would take many years before I could find a copy of #2.

My road trip buddy to Heroes Con 2023 and podcast co-host Justin also reminded me that the writer Nancy Collins was at the show, so we stopped by her table and asked her to sign the page. She regaled us with the story of how this huge imposing man came up to her table at a show long ago and asked "Are you Nancy Collins?" It turned out this was in fact Leatherface himself, Gunnar Hansen, who let Nancy know she was one of the few writers who really understood the character and the twisted family dynamic of these characters. High praise indeed!

The fate of poor Sparky the dog on panel three was both the primary reason the particular page stood out to me and was a heated topic of podcast discussion! You can hear myself and Justin discuss Jason Vs. Leatherface here.
