Description

Well, I never thought I would ever get to own anything other than a prelim by Hall of Fame illustrator Dean Cornwell, but in the past month or two someone must have liqudated their lifetime Cornwell collection, because a number of terrific pieces came up, at several different auction houses, and I was able to get two. Unfortunately I missed out on at least two major bargain pieces, but I'm happy to have gotten any.

Wow! Great looking out.. brilliant pick up! While I don't own a single Cornwell (yet) I can relate to never thought I would own one thought. Huge congrats!!

Huge congrats! Great art by the Master. I saw this come up, and didn't have the scratch to go for it. Glad you got it, and we didn't bid against each other.

I own a couple, but congrats on this. I am blown away by how cheap they are of late....and I have no idea why.

I think the depressed prices only reflect the amount of material that was put into the market at one time by a lifelong Cornwell collector. I, for one, am glad to have gotten a couple of painting, because it will not happen again!
