Description

While the art of this inked drawing is as high quality as the American publicity drawings, it is drawn on very different paper and has a copyright sticker that indicates it was done for an English publication. Most of the artwork for the English Mickey Mouse Weekly magazine in the 1930s was greatly inferior to actual Disney publicity art -- nothing more than knockoffs. I suppose it is possible that this drawing was done in Burbank on paper that satisfied the criteria necessary for publication of the English Disney magazine.
