11x17 title page from the sixth issue of Hectic Planet.

I�ve been reading Eisner Award winning writer and cartoonist Evan Dorkin�s work for years, from his Pirate Corp$ series to his work on the Bill and Ted comic and later series like Milk and Cheese, Dork, Beasts of Burden, the Eltingville Club, and Blackwood.

I�m also a long time subscriber to his Patreon, where Evan shares hilarious recollections of his time in the industry and sneak previews of upcoming work, and the occasional sale of original art.

It was during one such sale that I inquired about this page from Hectic Planet, a continuation of the earlier Pirate Corp$ series. Hectic Planet blended sci-fi, romance, action, and music. A ray of light, in other words, piercing the artistic black hole of early �90s comics.

The book also featured a sprawling cast of characters, most of whom are featured on this page: Halby, Blue, Ron, Harlie, Datsun, and Vroom Socko. Dorkin even throws in a cameo by his Milk and Cheese.

Pure joy that showcases Dorkin�s skill at world and character building.

WOW! I've loved Dorkin's work since I was first exposed to it in the pages of Instant Piano as a teenager, so I'm blown away by the awesomeness of this page!

Wonderful page filled with dellghtful characters! Evan Dorkin is an amazing artist who's worked on a lot of great books. This is a terrific display of the range of his talent. Great find!
