Absolutely LOVE all of these 5YL Legion pages you are posting. 

I'm sure others have mentioned this, but I have always appreciated that one of the distinct features of Giffen's 5YL Legion is how grimey everyone always look. Everyone always has a little schmutz on their uniform and face.

Okay, I'm starting to wonder if Giffen did the entire series in 9 panel grid format. Did he?!?

Yes, Giffen made a deliberate decision to adhere to the nine panel grid during this run. I think there were just a few pages that he did that were not nine panel ones.
