Description

This was another idea after getting the fantastic peacock in 2022 from Dave, which was something I asked my wife as to what she would like to see from him. My wife and I see them frequently around the area we live, and it doesn't hurt that Dave is a bird watcher himself.

Love the coloring in the background since we normally see them during sunset the summer, thanks to the crazy heat we have has this year. Of course, my wife wassuper happy with the results as well.

Many thanks to Dave for taking the time to make this happen, and, as always, to Allen at ASFA for helping with the coordination. Always a pleasure to work with.

Gorgeous work by Dave McKean. Fun to see him tackle something other than Sandman covers. Lovely painting of a Blue Grey Heron! Great commission, congratulations!

What a fantastic commission by one of the most creative and innovative artists of our time, I love his use of colors and texture of medium used! Btw, it was great meeting you at Original Comic art panel this morning!
