Description

Always enjoy asking for things "outside of the box" when it comes to commission requests, especially for Dave.

Simple request - Daniel. No other modifiers. Let him do what he does best - create!

Again, amazed at the results. Not sure if he has ever done one before or not (don't recall seeing a painted one for sure), but glad the request was fulfilled. Love the look and the coloring. Including a large scan of this as well, because there are really cool textures in this one, especially in the facial area.

Many thanks to Dave for taking the time to make this happen, and, as always, to Allen at ASFA for helping with the coordination. Always a pleasure to work with.

I've always loved McKean's work, but your gallery really makes me want to commission something by him. Congrats on such a great, and well-themed, collection.

Wow! Another stunning Dave McKean commission. What a gorgeous painting. I love the color palette here. And the variety of techniques he used to achieve different effects like skin and hair and cloth are remarkable. Fabulous piece, congrats!
