Description

The Acolyte special posting each week with each new episode premiere, celebrating the High Republic era in Live Action!

Jedi Master Sskeer suggests prioritizing seeking help for his former Padawan Keeve Trennis and Jedi Terec. But Avar Kriss snaps at him, saying that he is no longer allowed to advise her after the atrocities he committed when he butchered the Nihil without rhyme or reason (see last issue). She declares that these actions were not worthy of a Jedi and that he had left her no choice. At the top of this page she forces him to give up his lightsaber and relieves him of his duties as a Jedi pending judgement from the Jedi Council. Much to the objections of Keeve, and the disappointment of Avar Kriss.

Purchased from Georges at Heroes Con 2023. Story inks over Jeanty pencils.

I should have twelve part issue thoughts
I would have made you Keeve Jeanty
If I had known Georges one second
You'd be back to Karl Story

I will 100% sing this version the next time I spend a night in the pokey line dancing with the scab players of the Washington Sentinels. 10 out of 10.

Have you noticed that Jeanty and Story combine to look very modern day Goldeny?

You know, I hadn't. But now that you've mentioned it, I can see that when looking at some of Golden's Mutant X and Exiles covers and DC work.

love this page. the looks on all 3 character's faces throughout the scene/s is heartbreaking. I find it super interesting to see the seriousness/weight of a Jedi "being suspended" (to put it in lamens terms) and loosing access to their weapon. It's like a cop taking a leave or suspension and handing in their gun and badge for a period, or perhaps forever. In a time period with so many active Jedi "policing" the galaxy, precautions and high standards for behavior must be upheld. For Light And Life!
