"Swan Song" by Steve Mitchell. Cover date December 1981.

An American unit attacks a German gun position near a chateau and prepare to blow it up before the enemy counterattacks.

This page captures the force of the explosion in the first two panels, with the axel of the vehicle breaking the panel. You can fell the German soldier screaming in agony in the second panel. I'm not a fan of the drawing of the hands in this page, but the art's power really drew me in.

Great Dan Spiegle page. Can't find many artists that can give you the feeling that you are at war. I'll have to start looking at these pages. Nice pickup. I am a Dan Spiegle fan.

It's the layout that draws you right in! The circle panel seems to visually hold everything together as all hell breaks loose!
