Hmmm... a spider-man page... I can only assume a session in Ravenloft or a MTG game going on in the copter.

Triple J and Demogoblin for the win! This page definitely hits in regard to nostalgia factotr. I'm not afraid to admit I was part of the symbiote generation, especially the Maximum Carnage series. Wonderful page Steve, and it's by Sal!!!

Right on, man, got some Shriek and some Demogoblin but good ol' Spectacular Sal! And wasn't Maximum Carnage just the maximum '90s story?! Congrats!

Wow! Very cool Spectacular Spider-Man page! Gorgeous work by Sal Buscema! I love the storyline on this page with Peter's (clone) father telling him to look out for himself instead of others--the opposite of what Uncle Ben had taught him! I also like the rough borders around the backstory elements. Just a terrific page all around!

Great page, full of bad guys! I like the way the feel of anguish and drama is enhanced by the composition of the page.

Sal changed his style several times in his career, and in this simpler, almost scratchily inked period, he really showed everything he had learned about composition. He kept his characteristic three-panel story exposition with the faces on the left, but shows perfect placement of the helicopter and sideways glance in the top right panel, and the brilliant explosion in the bottom right. That's a really nice page.
