Jack Kirby would've been 107 years old today.

With his volume of work spanning over 50 years in the comics medium, he's regarded by historians and fans as a true innovator.

He was a founding member of the Marvel Silver Age of Comics and created and/or co-created most of the characters in today's Marvel Universe.

Kirby is probably the most influential artist in the history of comics and the reason I entered this hobby first as a fan of comic books and later as an art collector. He's truly "The King" of comics.

He's so much more than the King now! Kirby's a daily inspiration for those who look upon the pieces on CAF and see the influence he has had on new and old artwork. People should sing in joy and have cake in honor of his birthday today and for the days to come.
