Despite the trauma this movie caused me when I was very young, I have to admit that this is a beauty!
I know, that rifleshot that killed Bambi's mother was startling. This really is a beauty of watercolor from a very talented long-time animation artist who now has his own company (in The Philippines, I think).
Wonderful off balance look! So memorable and life like in the natural pose! A happier time for Bambi in the Disney classic which no doubt inspired a lot of abusive parents to name their daughters after.
That right there, is some stiff water.
That's just lovely.
