Description

John Jameson / Man-Wolf / Stargod beheads one of Arisen Tyrk's Calvary of the Damned. They're his soulless beings, an animated army to do Tyrk's bidding and guard his floating castle in the Other Realm. Being a big fan of George Pérez & David Anthony Kraft's upgrade to the Man-Wolf, I loved seeing the Stargod preview in the awesome Pérez: Accent On the First "E" showcase (Omnibus Publishing Company, 1977). DAK continued to use the Man-Wolf here and there, but I would have preferred to see him stay in the Other Realm with his support cast: Garth, Lambert, Gorjoon & Duna, who sported some kinda scythe-fist! Oh well…

Perez had a timeless style that worked perfectly in the 1970s and every decade afterwards. Fantastic piece!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Never saw this before, but it blows me away! What a stunning splash by the always amazing George Perez! It's a crazy, mixed-up alien world with bizarre steeds and floating asteroids and Man-Wolf in armor battling with a sword. I don't know how I missed this, but wow--Is it ever cool. And as always, Mr. Perez draws this scene cleanly and beautifully. Fabulous pick-up, congrats!
