Description

Fantastic Four are blamed for a devastating interdemsional attack on their city. During the assault Johnny Storm loses his Human Torch powers. The team is kicked out of their home the Baxter Building, Thing is framed for murder and the F4 family falls apart. Johnny Storm goes on a partying bender which leads to his close friends Wyatt Wingfoot and Spider-man stepping in to put Johnny back on the right path.

Marvel already did the storyline of Johnny losing his powers in the second F4 movie with Chris Evans. I'm sure we'll seem this theme again in one of the newly rebooted F4 films.

I usually only collect published art that contains both pencils and inks but the pencils very heavy and dark. Plus I also loved the perspective Leonard Kirk did for this splash. He put so much detail in this piece it easily could have been the cover.

This was drawn on 11" x 17" comic art board. One of the several peices I picked up at Fan Expo Canada in Aug 2023.

It resembles the scene where Suge Knight has Vanilla Ice dangling and demanding the rights to Ice-Ice Baby. Especially now with Johnny having no flame powers.

Agreed the perspective is awesome. Also love the Howard the Duck Fanboy shirt lol. Luckily I never woke up like this after partying too hard lol.
