DescriptionThis was purchased on a Dueling Dealers Show. I don't often purchase original art covers, if at all, simply because original comic artwork itself is so very expensive nowadays (not to mention the fact that covers have always been much more expensive in any event). However, I do go by both head (mainly with regard to whether or not the value of the artwork is at least roughly commensurate to the price paid for it) as well as gut and feel (principally, the aesthetic appeal of the piece to me (which can, of course, be highly subjective)). I must say that the latter took center stage insofar as this cover was concerned although I did think that it was fairly priced as well (the former consideration).Although I am not a huge Captain America fan (as I collect quite widely across different genres and periods (which is a disadvantage I confess)), this had excellent eye appeal and was, overall, a pretty dynamic cover in my view. As a kind of sidenote, this is also the first Rik Levins artwork that I have purchased. There are very nice inks by Danny Bulanadi as well. Social/Sharing |

Post Gulf War patriotism had leveled off by 1993, but Cap was fighting bigger world wide threats. This one with Falcon against Terminus! Bold and muscle bound with 90's musculature and energy!

Stunning Captain America cover by Rik Levins and Danny Bulanadi. Beautifully drawn and crisply inked, this cover is a terrific Cap cover with a super nice image of Falcon as well. Great pick-up, congrats!

What an awesome cover. I have a not so well know love for Captain America and I am always just waiting for the right piece that calls me. It looks like the right one called you. Love it.

Not being a big Captain America fan as such, it may be considered surprising to see you add a Cap cover to your collection. But when one sees jus t how well rounded your collection is, this addition actually can be considered to make sense. Congratulations!

Many thanks, Rubén! But that is also my big disadvantage as a collector in this hobby - it would be much easier to go niche, so to speak. Unfortunately, that is the way things are for me.
