Description

In the early 1980s, this cel was included in a traveling museum exhibition which a major comic art/animation dealer had put together. I told the dealer that I was interested in this cel, and he said that he would sell it to me after the show had finished its tour. Of course, he sold it to someone else, without even contacting me. About 20 years later, the earlier purchaser traded the cel to another dealer, from whom it was bought by a friend of mine (on my behalf). During that 20 year period, I never saw another cel of this rare character which I considered as nice as this one -- it was worth the wait.

Agreed- cels of the Cheshire Cat are SO rare! I think we have only had 3-4 in the 30 years I have had the gallery.
