Description

Cassara turned in excellent work on pencils and inks for Krakoa-era X-Force. Here's his take on 90s Rogue with her yellow/green suit, headband, and bomber jacket. I assumed this was a convention sketch; I picked it up at auction. (See comment below for a better answer.) Toned paper has become a popular choice when an artist wants to make splashes of white stand out, as here it does on her forelock and teeth.

Great piece! Congrats! By the way, it you're wondering about its origin, it looks like it was a freebie from Josh, not a convention sketch. He does these as a 'thank you' if you buy a page from him. Really nice touch. Great guy and great to deal with. I have a few of these sketches and am really looking forward to seeing my next one just as much as the pages I recently bought from him.

The headband and the big hair is really nice! Those little streaks of color add more of that lively energy to the portrait.
