In this Krakoa-era mini-series, specifically the "Destiny of X" arc, Bishop and his students have been thrust into an alternate universe where everyone is black. The students (including Pixie and Armor) lost their powers thanks to a scheme by Fenris, but just got them back. Fenris use a bus-sized drill to open Earth-63's pit of Krakoa, triggering an explosion, but before it reaches our heroes, the Tempus of this world stops time, resulting in the freeze frame that Bishop observes in this splash page.
In the right lower corner of the page, this world's Jean Grey is trying to protect her Nightcrawler and Beast from the explosion with a telekinetic shield. The big Groot-looking silhouette is Wrongslide, a version of Rockslide who was brought back to life with some significant changes during the "X of Swords" story. He and Cyclops (far left) and two other characters are not so lucky; they will probably be dead once time restarts.
