Artist, animator, and filmmaker Eliza Ivanova was set up at San Jose Comic Con in August. When I first met her in South San Francisco in 2017, she drew this Chinese cheongsam illustration at the con. I have her books Art of Eliza Ivanova and her two volumes of the Raw Material sketchbook since then. This time, I asked for a Hayao Miyazaki character commission. I opened the tube after the federal holiday and am thrilled with this delightful drawing.
